    Description

    Postcard from Treasury Department, Bureau of War Risk Insurance. Front of card has written name and  address of recipient, name of enlisted man along with number. It also states the organization to which he belongs. There is penalty postage with a postmark from Washington DC dated August 19, 1918, 11PM. Back of card is a printed statement from the bureau Military and Naval Division informing the recipient that the enlisted man has made an allotment of a part of his pay to them.
