  • Condition: This handmade rug has been well loved, but still has some life left. There is one spot of wear along the edge that mainly affects the backing and not the rug itself. There is one spot of the red wool bleeding and it occurs in the upper left corner. The wool loops are in good condition, so the issue is in the pine cones. The material used to outline the pine cone petals has not held up and is raveling. It is quite possibly nylon tights or panty hose, as they were a popular material mid century. This could be trimmed away, much improving the appearance. The rug is from a Fraser pattern, Whispering Pines. This information appears on the back, as well as a tag from the hooker, Ella Ritland.
