Vintage 1930s/40s hooked rug Arts Crafts style in shades of blue gray, teal and black for the border and pastel colors of teal, gray green and shades of rose in the center medallion floral arrangement on an ivory/beige ground. This all handmade rug measures 58” X 27.5”. In the central medallion is a lovely arrangement of pink and rose-colored roses and other pestles flowers. Leaves are teal or a pretty yellow green. The outside border of the rug is a pretty blue-gray with the scroll pattern border with leaves around the rug’s edges in shades of teal and black. The flowers are nicely shaded in subtle grayed-down shades of pink and rose and the leaves are teal, gray-green or dark yellow green. Quite lovely. As expected at its age, there is some fraying at the edges, but no holes or other signs of wear or damage save slight fading of the front compared to the back (see photos 1 and 2).
This would make a very nice rug for a study or living room or family room in front of a nice piece of furniture or a fireplace.
