ery intricate scene of 2 women and a man playing an instrument and courting the ladies
Gorgeous marriage of aqua and cobalt blue enamel in a very intricate detailed design on compact
Compact: there is a little bit of tarnish on the silver, there is some very light surface scratching on the top of the compact that can only be seen in a certain light, very minimal
Compact is a substantial piece in weight
Compact closes flush, hinges work great
No damage or repairs noted
Inside is a mirror with no damage, and a powder filter
Back and sides of the compact have beautiful engraved floral work
Compact is 800 silver
Italian made, hallmarked "Made in Italy" on the inside bottom of compact
Comb case is made in Italy, is 800 silver gold wash
The scene on the comb is of a courting couple at a river
Comb is a tortoise shell, (possibly faux tortoise shell?) and all of the teeth are present
Comb Case has some tarnish on back
