For sale is a completely refurbished Sony CDP-CX355 400 CD changer. S/N 8906489.Unit is in like new condition. Belts were replaced, laser module replaced with brand new module, table roller assemblies epoxied to cabinet( the plastic on these assemblies get brittle with age and the tabs break off causing the assembly to get lodged under the table), all sensors cleaned, all flat cable contacts cleaned, alignment checked, mechanism lubricated and entire unit cleaned. Test with 50 + CD's in random play. I will include audio cables,new control system cable and a new toslink cable. Comes with remote-with batteries, keyboard, control system manual,specification sheet and operating manual. I use Pledge furniture polish to clean the cabinet, after the cabinet is wrapped in the shipping plastic the polish will get messed up. Take some polish and reapply to the cabinet to renew the finish.Cabinet has minor surface scratches.

DOA means the item will NOT turn on, power up, or run self tests as described in the auction.When your player arrives, you must check it by playing a disc. If it plays the disc and in the future stops playing, that is not DOA! Make sure you load your CD's correctly! I have had customers complain that the unit did not work, only later to find out that they loaded the CD's backwards.  Our guarantee is for repair, replacement, or refund at our discretion. Ebay allows 30 days to file a "does not work claim". ALL claims of DOA must be made in 2 days. Buyer pays return shipping. After 30 days no returns or refunds will be given for any reason. If you return a player for DOA and we can not find any trouble with the player we will refund only the price of the player minus ALL shipping cost-both ways,ebay fees and tax. If you do not agree with this do not bid on the player.
If your item(s) arrive damaged please hold the item, all packaging, and contact us immediately thru eBay messaging. The shipping company must be notified and they will send a return label to you.All shipping claims must be approved by the carrier before a refund can be issued.
All items come with non DOA (Dead on Arrival) warranty unless stated otherwise. Tamper security tags have been attached to the cabinet, these tags are attached for buyers who replace working parts with defective parts and then claim that the unit is DOA. If these tags are tampered with or removed we will not issue any refund to the buyer. All internal parts are marked with special ink ,if the player is returned for DOA and these marks are missing from the boards NO REFUND will be issued! Sorry we do not offer any warranties on the batteries, software and operating system issues. All electronic items are sold AS IS. You have 30 days from the day the player arrives to file a "does not work claim". If a CD player is returned for DOA and we determine that it was damaged by the buyer NO refund will be issued. In the past we have had players that were dropped by the buyer and they are trying to claim that the player was DOA when it arrived. When the player was returned the whole front of the cabinet was cracked with pieces missing and both front circuit boards cracked.They claimed it was damaged in shipping, but none of the broken pieces were found inside of the shipping box and the shipping box had no damage to it. The player is wrapped and sealed in plastic, any broken pieces would still be in the plastic wrapping. In order to issue any type of refund the player MUST be packaged in the same manner that it was shipped, to avoid any damage in return shipping, If it is not we will not issue any refund. Take photos of the player before you return it and message me the photos,this will show proof if the player is damaged in return shipping.

During cold weather YOU MUST allow the player to warm to room temperature!!! If you fail to allow the player to warm up,moisture on the internal boards can cause the player to short out. This is similar to what happens to your glasses when you come in from the cold and the lenses will fog up. If  you want to return the player because it does not work, and inspection shows that moisture shorted out the player, NO refund will be issued!
Be sure that the player is on a flat surface! If the player is not level, it may cause a malfunction or damage the player.

As such that we make absolutely no guarantee as to how long this item and any internal/ external components within this item such as CPU, memory, hard drive, laser, semiconductors,batteries, motors, etc. will continue to function after purchase. We test all items to the best of our ability. It is our practice to give you an honest description of the product. If your item arrives in a condition other than as described, we must be notified within 48 hours of delivery.

I ship all CD players with the door in the open position, this prevents damage to the door in shipping. I also remove the two front knobs and place them in the plastic bag(this helps prevent damage to the circuit board that the knobs are attached too.) I use reinforced shipping boxes with wood panels on top,bottom and all sides, on all CD Players that I ship. Please keep this shipping box in case you ever need to send the player back for service in the future. This reinforced shipping box cost more but I have not had one player damaged in shipping. It seems like the shipping services like to purposely throw big boxes. We had on the local news awhile back showing a delivery driver who was on a doorbell camera throwing a large box from the sidewalk up to the top stairs so he would not have to walk up the 8 stairs.
