    Description

I purchased this sculpture from a retired McDonald’s employee.  He said it came from the McDonald’s Museum in Oak Brook, Illinois when it closed in 2017.  The tag on the bottom reads A05532 Phil Schuster,  Lighted Old Store, Mixed Media.  I found a newspaper article about Phil Schuster.  In 1987 McDonald’s commissioned him to make ceramic reliefs based on the design of the old golden arches restaurants.  He joked "The 'McMoney' was fabulous," noting that it enabled him and his wife, fashion designer Janet Jaffke, to buy their house.  He worked with McDonald’s for about three years.   The sculpture measures 27” tall, 23” wide, 14” deep and it weighs about 55 pounds.  The small light bulb inside does not work.  It looks like the cord was spliced.  There’s a few very small nicks on the left and right side.   This is a customer pickup item. I live about 75 miles S/W of Chicago right off of I-55. I will gladly work with your shipper if needed.  Please pickup within 14 days.  If you need a little more time let me know.  Payment in full is due within 2 days after sale.
