LADIES GOLD TONE COMPACT MADE IN SWITZERLAND BY ROBERT GEORG JENSEN DUST COVER

Description

This elegant gold tone compact is marked ROBERT and MADE IN SWITZERLAND. but It was purchased  from GEORG JENSEN on Fifth Avenue in New York in the 1940s.  The JENSEN label  appears on the gray felt dust cover shown in our photo.  The slim compact measures 3 inches by 3 inches and has fine ribbing on the back.  The design on the front can be seen in our photo. The little powder  puff is a bit worn but the  compact itself is in excellent condition. The dust cover has a couple of frayed edges but is also in excellent condition for its age. A lovely bit of the past for a lady who appreciates the finer things of life.
