    Description

    Lovely strand of  French Ambassador trade Beads with matching Earrings.
    Dated between 1850s to the very beginning of 1900s.
    These beads were first introduced to the Americas and to the Native American culture beginning in the 1850s.  This necklace features a matching pair of earrings with each having a French Ambassador bead similarly sized to the feature bead on the necklace and ending in a beautiful Native American squash blossom bead. A beautiful and collectible marriage of cultures that would compliment any collection.
    Length 16 inches. , At the center, largest oblong shaped ambassador bead measures 22.2mm x 14.5mm, On either side are round ambassador with roughly faceted French jet beads. Earrings are hook back for pierced ears and each have an oblong French Ambassador bead with dangling Native American made sterling silver squash blossom bead.  The beads are in very good to excellent condition, with wear commiserate with age.
