Listed here is a truly fun pen historically, the A. A. Waterman 201M 3 twist-filler fountain pen. What makes it fun you ask? Litigation. L.E. Waterman sued AA Waterman because of the naming and its association. Arthur Waterman was trying to capitalize off of the success of L.E. Waterman. Obviously AA Waterman lost the suit and on the barrel is prominently emblazoned:
"NOT CONNECTED WITH THE LE WATERMAN CO"
This fountain pen uses a snazzy twist-filling system that holds a lot of ink. The AA Waterman nib has a unique breather/vent hole design. Despite business impropriety, the fountain pens are of high quality and write well. The drama in the dispute between the two Watermans speaks to the highly competitive nature of the pen industry in the early 20th century.

AP and BARREL
The cap is in FAIR condition. There are no major scratches, dents, and/or dings on the cap. The cap is
cracked
and is
missing its clip
. The crack is small and thin. The repousse cap band is in good condition with small spots of high-point brassing.
The barrel is in EXCELLENT condition. The barrel imprint, which is the historically significant detail is super crisp and well preserved. The model number on the bottom of the barrel is present and crisp as is the arrow on the filling knob.
A. A. WATERMAN #2 14K FLEXIBLE NIB
This AA Waterman 201M 3 fountain pen features its original and correct #2 nib.  The nib's imprints are entirely present. The nib is quite flexible and smooth. There is still plenty of life in the tipping material. The tines are perfectly aligned and the nib is oriented properly on the ebonite feed. The nib is nice and smooth with optimal flow for vellum paper. I used it on Tomoe River paper with Montblanc's BMW Blue ink.
RESTORATION SERVICES
This vintage AA Waterman 201M twist-filler fountain pen has been cleaned and tested for function (filling and writing). It is READY TO WRITE upon filling with standard fountain pen ink.
A brand NEW LATEX INK SAC
has been properly installed with a dry lubricant to improve function.
Renaissance Wax
(yes, only the best) has been sparingly applied to the surface to protect and preserve the ebonite as well as gold-plated trim. Renaissance Wax is used by professional vintage pen restorers and other esteemed institutions such as the British Museum. It is great for protecting metals from oxidation and for protecting surfaces that often come into contact with hands.

will not stain or discolor with aging. It is 1

alcohol resistant. The Renaissance Wax will preserve the color of the ebonite and protect from color loss.

Beyond making sure that the pens I restore write, I like to make sure they
write well. Using a loupe, premium micro-abrasives, and when necessary, specially made nib repair tools each nib is carefully adjusted to provide an enjoyable writing experience based on the particular characteristics of the nib. This historically significant AA Waterman pen is an absolute delight to write with.
The AA Waterman 201M 3 fountain pen has been fully disassembled, cleaned, and has been conservatively polished.
