A strand plus twelve loose beads of small four layer Venetian chevron beads found in Nigeria, West Africa. There are several yellow jackets on the strand. They were made in Venice, Italy in the late 1800's or early 1900's and used for the African trade. The beads measure in length 4 mm to 8 mm and in diameter 8.7 mm to 10.5 mm. The length of the strand is 10.75 inches, 27.5 cm. The picture is enlarged to show detail please refer to the measurements for the exact size. Scroll down the page for more pictures. The coin in the picture measures 16 mm in diameter.
